wireless controller? or wifi? neither console actually has wireless network, u have to buy an official usb 360 wifi dongle, to get wireless live from a compatible modem/router. the more expensive xbox comes with a wireless controller,, headset, media remote, and 20GB hard drive. price difference is €100.

neither machine has wifi out of the box, but the premium pack has a wireless controller.
For prices, a wired controller will cost €35 and a wireless one will cost €45, with the play and charge pack costing €20, and the rechargeable battery pack costs €15.

If its the wifi adaptor you're looking for that will set you back €80.

Whats the craic with this? If you buy a wireless controller do you need to buy one of those extra things for it to work or are they optional?

The short answer is no. The controller out of the box runs and AA (or AAA can't remember) sized batteries, so you can use it straight away. The rechargeable battery and the charge and play packs are optional.

It might be cheaper just to buy a charger and some rechargeable AA(A) batteries

i think hes talking about wireless, not Wi-Fi, as in Wireless controllers. The premium xbox does the wireless controllers, dunno bout the price diff tho. think it was bout 100 euro.
