Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yep lets hope for the easiest draw possible .

Is there anywhere to watch the draw ?

Draws on Eurosport. Everton wouldn't be a bad draw from both a financial and footballing point of view. Everton usually struggle against weaker teams.

I'd say the draw will be on Sky Sports News.

Metalurg Donetsk might be an easier draw than PAOK. D'oh!

Donetsk are unseeded so they can't get them, it's has to be one of the five teams listed in the first column (auxerre, everton etc.)

    AJ Auxerre (FRA)
    PAOK FC (GRE)
    SK Slavia Praha (CZE)
    Hamburger SV (GER) F
    Everton FC (ENG)

which of those teams would be the easiest ? I think Everton would be the hardest

I actually think Slavia Praha could be just as bad as it would make for a very hard away tie . Auxerre isn't as bad as it looks at first glance but they have got to be hopeing for PAOK .

When/how were the above groups decided? Do UEFA just decide this themselves or was there a preliminary draw?

Auxerre got beaten 7-0 by Lens in their last league match a few days ago. They're still a strong team though.

Hamburg qualified from the Intertoto, beating Valencia in the final.

PAOK are strong but probably the weakest of the bunch.

    Good draw. Its do-able!

Away leg first is always an advantage.

If they can keep it tight out there it'll make for a great second leg.

Unless it gets changed that is (I think they can do that).

    Last 5 European home games:
    Cork City 3 - 1 Malmo
    Cork City 1 - 0 NEC Nijmegen
    Cork City 1 - 1 Nantes
    Cork City 0 - 1 Ekranas :(
    Cork City 0 - 0 Djurgardens

2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. Hardly a poor record!

You can go back further to wins over IFK Gotenburg, CSKA Kiev, and good home form in European fixtures through the 90s. However, Cork City have been better away in general this season, bar the game vs Derry City last week... in EL, Setanta Cup, and in UEFA.
