xbox 360 on oc screens

it has been comfirmed that the xbox360 will work on pc screens but we will have to fork out €39.99 and we still might be only able to see it in 480p and 720p.

I'd happily pay €6.500 for a HDTV. I wouldn't pay €6,500 for one though. (sorry, I'm just being a pedantic bastard).

I'd imagine that I'll be able to afford a nice HDTV around the start of the next generation, when HyperHDTV is just coming out.

By the way, with the tv in my above post, it has a dvi socket and 2 scarts. What am I gonna use to hook the 360 up for HD? Is the 399 pack coming with the vga connecter or what?

Just came into the country this week. Still awaiting it. I also got a staff discount so they normally retail in Xtra-Vision for €1499. Pop in and grab the magazine. I think the tv has a black border round it though.

Yeah, well I won't be able to think about getting one for another year, so hopefully there'll be a few more 100's taken off the price by then!

DVI will give you the best picture quality. If there isnt a DVI cable for the 360 (Im not sure) you can get a vga/dvi adapter.

Isn't the HDMI interface the recommended one for HDTV, prefered over DVI? Don't quote me on that, thought I read that somewhere.

Freer - you say you will have to fork out 40 euro for the 360 to work on PC screens, what do you have to buy exactly?

I'm pretty sure HDMI and DVI are the same signal, just a different connection.
