In the UK anyway, people who downloaded over 100GB or so started to get warnings by post!

This only started recently as they are moving to 10Mbit soon and probable got scared due to the possibility of these heavy downloading doubling or more their monthly donwloads causing their network to slow to a crawl.

I doubt if such speed increases will make their way to Ireland as what is now NTL Ireland is actually owned by Morgan Stanley at the moment!!!

Even so, 120GB a month on a Cable system is not good news for your neighbours!!!

Blimey, and i feel bad because I _once_ went 4Gigs over the limit. Why do you guys let yourselves go overquota, and how do you AFFORD the charges for excess use?

    At €36 a GByte(3.6c a MB) I routinely go out and rob a bank!!!

Whats the point of having all this lovely money when you cant splash it out on an ISP like eircom and pay them for the 5GB-10GB you overdownload a month???

Are you serious about eircom charging for going over the download CAP???
Were you charged €140 for going those 4GB over your CAP???
