    Hello everyone!

Broke my tennis racket string the other day ( :( ) and I need to get it fixed ASAP but I don't know where in Dublin I can get that done!? Can anybody here help me?

Furthermore, do you know how much it cost to get a tennis racket string fixed in Dublin?

Thanks a million for your help! ;)

My first choice was always Martyn Evans Sports in Fitzwilliam Tennis Club. I think it used to cost about €15, but that depends on string type. The shop in David Lloyd Fittness also does it, but I'm not sure what price he charges, most likely there wouldn't be much in the difference. Elvery's Sports in Suffolk Street used to do it years ago too, but I'd be inclined to go with one of the other two.

Hi Johnmb and thanks a million for your reply! Martyn Evans Sports sounds good to me but I don't know where that is... Could you please tell me how I can get there (I'll be either cycling or taking the bus)?

    Thanks a million!!! :D

Martyn Evans Sports is in Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club, on the Appian Way. Coming from town you would either go to Upper Lesson Street and take the first main right hand turn after the Burlington Hotel, you should then see the club about 200m on your right hand side, or go through Ranelagh and take the first main left turn at the lights after the triangle, onto Chelmsford Road, which becomes The Appian Way further up. According to my map here, the 11, 11A, 11B, 13B and the 18 buses all go past it. Hope that helps.

This more than helps Johnmb! Thanks a million for all your help and sorry for all the questions! ;) I'll be cycling there on Saturday morning; hope it's not too expensive...

Thanks again and have a good day! :D

you will be waiting forever in martin evans and they are real snobby there. if u go and see the big dude in david lloyd and be nice he will do it within a few hours and does a great job. i would recommend very tight strings,

suprisingly tighter strings last longer since they rub less when u put on alot of top-spin
