    The privatisation here also comes at a time when the UK is reviewing the effectivness of cameras. (see here).

    Just seen at the bottom of that link how the system can fail - a Pugeot 406 was caught driving at 406mph!

    In England driving is a real chore with all the camera's. Because the limits again change constantly and you never really know what the speed limits are unless you know an area really well.
    Exactly, the place is infested with cameras and once you leave your local area, it's all too easy to get caught out somewhere. Hence the attitude in England now that points are just another hazard of being on the road and nearly everyone has some.
