Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was cycling along Navan Road this morning and passed a bunch of cars that are parked in the cycle lane every morning (half on path, half on bike lane - two violations!).
Just beyond the bunch a motorcycle Garda was stopped in the bike lane.

I stopped just ahead of him and asked him to ticket all the cars. He said that he was in the process of doing that!!
    I thanked him. Good stuff!

    That is good news!
    Fair play to him.
It'd be great if they started ticketing cars half on path/half on road too.
It's a terrible inconvenience to pedestrians, particularly mothers pushing prams etc.

Yeah the Guards on the Navan road have instructions to ticket illegally parked cars so that the traffic can move more freely. I mean if they can't get up to a decent speed how can the Gatso van catch them down the road. :(

    They actually ticket people?
Since the school year started I am already getting the parents who are more concerned for their families over everybody else. After I come back from holiday I am going to drive this issue home. Parking in a cycle lane on a busy road after a bus stop and then pully out with due care everyday.

Don't even get me started on this type of carry on, the amount of times somebody has nearly knocked me off my bike on my way to work is insane...for starters they could use indicaters
