Strange Edit Post Error/Behaviour

I tried to edit this post and I got a message saying it was too short and that I should enter 1 or more characters. See attached screenie. Browser: Deer Park Alpha 2 (Firefox 2) OS: Windows 2000 SP4 (fully up-to-date)

Same happened to me, yesterday and this morning. I tried to put quote tags in my edit and it said I didn't have enough characters in it to justify an edit.
