I saw the fire in Paris on the TV which killed several immigrant families and then seen an interview on RTE about fire certificates in Ireland. The person basically said that only houses post 1992 need a fire certifcate. Even though houses built pre 1992 are far more likely to burn down and have poor escape exits.

Isnt this something that should be addressed ? Anyone renting a house in Ireland will know that you get crap value for your €uro and some of the places are death trap. If the government dont fix this another diaster could be on their hands!!
