Guys does anyone know where to get new car tyres at cheap prices in Dublin?

I’m looking for Pirelli tyres and the cheapest quote i can get is around €100/tyre!

    Thnx

Depends on the type, eg: Profile of tyre,

It will say it on the side, eg; 225/40/R18 etc!! Also check if Pirelli is the best tyre for the sort of car and style of driving you have, grippier tyres last less etc etc,

Yeah, what sort of car is it and why do you want Pirellis?

I had Pirelli P6000s on my MR2 roadster and they were awful: wobbly and slippy. I've now got Toyo T1-Rs on there and they are fantastic. Cheaper than Pirellis, too.

    Try http://www.eiretyres.com

Not at all, probably just the deal that Alfa were doing at the time, its worth having a look on a few sites, that one Ernie suggested is good and deciding then. Remember when asking in a garage etc they will generally tell you whichever ones suit them unless its a specialist place :p

I shopped online and got my €90 tyres for €50.

Sorry I don't have any references but do shop around, outside of the country.

Try Kimmage tyres. I use them as they seem to be comparatively cheap. The head honcho 'Vinnie' is a sound bloke too - could talk the bark off an oak tree

If I were you, I'd go here:

    http://www.aroc-uk.com/

and join up. Then go on their forums and do a search on 'tyres' and see what they're recommending for your car.

I did a similar thing on the equivalent MR2 site and many people there swear by Toyo T1-Rs so I bought a set. I haven't regretted it.

As for Eiretyres, yeah, I've used them. I had the tyres delivered to the Sandyford Tyre Centre where they fitted them for 10 yoyos each.

If you do use that crowd, though, make sure they don't overtighten the wheel nuts. They did mine and one of them sheared off when I tried to take the wheel off...
