People punishing for claymore TKs

aarghh!!
This is driving me crazy!!

I'd find a good vantage point on a building and put claymores at the ladder point.
Yet, time after time, team members climb up and set them off and then punish me for a team kill!!
Not only that, but it's happens more than once and leave me without claymores to protect my spot!
It's getting to the stage I'm just not playing sniper anymore.
And its not just n00bs doing it either... surely they can clearly see the 0m red skull logo flash up?!
I dont think there's any worse time of TK punish... or is there?
Anyone else suffer from this too?

Do it all the time. And if I kill a teammate, I flame them. I then put down another one, right at the ladder.

Best tho is when you look down the ladder, and you see someone coming up. Esp when you have a shotgun.

While I do agree with ye , I can see another side to it aswell . When you say you found a good point for sniping , maybe other snipers like it aswell , but by you putting your claymore there you are hogging it .

Having played a good few different online games without the help of claymores to protect me when I am sniping I have kinda gotten used to watching my own back , plus it's less costly to die than it is to TK and then be punished .

I just do the 'say team' thing -" Flag X, mines at top of ladder, don't come up".

Noob climbs up, gets killed, I whine to admin, player gets kicked.

claymore TK's are just as much the sniper's fault as they
are the noobs fault.

If you leave a claymore in a stupid place then you WILL kill
people on your own team.

That is bull. Of course you see the skull but does that tell
you whether it is a claymore or a anti tank mine???

Yes i know you wont find anti tank mines at the top of a
ladder.

Often more than one sniper is needed at a specific spot and
it is a lot easier to let a enemy knife you in the back than to
TK someone.

So snipers remember, people will trip on your mines when
you leave them in semi friendly territory.

You just dont know that they are claymores till its too late.

but we aren't talking about the middle of the road, we're talking about up ladders, and people climbing up them and getting killed.

And if they punish the tk, then they're an idiot.

On another note, If you find a claymore is it possible to disarm it? ie with the engineer? I assume not possible if atop a ladder.

also a lot of noobs dont realize that when you press ALT it turns off all the pretty flag and skull icons.

no way man. I enjoy my couple of cans!
My sniping skills have improved immensly after a bit of practice.
I'm having excellent rounds the whole time, not only killing, but spotting advancing enemy moves.
A moving sniper is just cannon fodder...
