ive a 1994 colt and it seems to have developed a little problem on me.

basically, when i turn the ignition the engine turns over but wont start, what i have to do to start it is to give it a small little and then she starts no bother,

it's not just on cold starts either, say if i've been driving a while and leave the car for 5-10mins it still has the same problem

once the engine starts up it idles and drives fine.

has anyone any ideas what could be causing this problem and how to solve it????

i bought it 2nd a while ago and they never mentioned an immobiliser but it does have an alarm so it may do, but AFAIK the keys aren't copied.

if it is the immobiliser what can i do to sort the problem????

    Exactly my question also.

However if a "small little punch of the accelerator", you may have a choke that is not functioning properly, assuming you have a Carb..
What is this anyway, Carb, Throttle boty injector or std EFI?.
