Characters gone

I just logged in to WOW and found all my characters gone. I was wondering - is my data stored on mycomputer or is it stored on Blizzard's servers. I want to know was the deletion due to my computer or due to their serevers.

nah the servers are down, they will be back anytime. Your character is stored online, if your realm is down then no character appears.
