Eircom Broadband/Wireless Router Help!

    Hi,

    I've currently got Eircom broadband ie. Netopia ADSL modem connected via ethernet to my PC.

    Problem occurs when I try and introduce my new Linksys Wireless router WRT54G to the loop.

    I follow the Linksys instructions to a T:
    1. Plug the Netopia into the internet port on the linksys router (I've tried both straight through and crossover cable to no avail)
    2. Attach the router to the PC.
    3. Switch everything on.
    4. Access the linksys admin console on 192.168.1.1

    Once in the console I can set the IP address to automaic or static. If I set it to automatic I can't ping the netopia modem. If I set it to the static details that come with netopia I still can't connect to the netopia.

    Any ideas what I'm doing wrong???
