In the 4:30 at Thirsk Handa Island has been backed from 20/1 into 5/1 favourite. It has come last in it's last 3 races. However if you look back over it's form you will see it came 4th in a Group 3 race back in 2002. There is obviously a big word for this one today.

Very lightly raced since fourth in Queen´s Vase in 2002, failing to beat a rival in three runs on Flat this year but has dropped 34lb in the weights; has all the aids on today (tongue tie and blinkers) so interesting to see if there is any flicker of interest in him in the betting.

A flicker indeed.
