    ok, sorry if this has been discussed in here before,
    just a quick question about the rope/wire that sayid found that led him to the french woman.

    what was it? a rope/ wire?
    whats its purpose? do we know?
    where does it lead to in the sea?

    Firstly, stick US or IRL in the title of the thread as there's spoilers for UK viewers. Secondly,
    the purpose of the wire/rope isn't known yet, although it is likely some sort of cable, where it begins and ends is not truely known either.
