Does anyone know of any problems with the new style Laguna 01 or 02. They seem to be cheapish, €9950 for an 02 1.9 dci sport plus with 90,000 miles? What things should one look out for?

Thats a nice car the 1.9 DCI you see there, ACCEPT for the milage, 90K is alot for a renault. Personally, i wouldn't touch it. High milage + renault's = bad. Quite a few laguna's hit serious engine problem's after about 60-70K on them. If you can, Look for around 30-40K max for a laguna, That should give you a good few years with no problem's. My dad drive's a 1.6L Laguna, Not bad but 1.6 Is underpowered IMO. Strangely enough though, As renault's aren't the most reliable, He hasn't had any problem's with his 01 Laguna, Although its hitting time to change it right now. Beautiful car's and there DCi Engine's are pretty Sweet to drive. Great spec's all around.

Agreed. have driven both, and prefered the octavia(1.9diesel).
Felt a lot sportier and more responsive than the laguna(petrol).
