guy in work told me that ucd gmy membership is €170 for the year, and a buddy can join for free.

    so, that's €85 each.

is he talkin 5hit, or is this true.

and would you have to be a student?

Yeah, you'd have to be a student I imagine - it sounds in-line with DCU's fees, though DCU doesn't have the free buddy.

its 170 euro for single membership. correct me if i`m wrong but there is no such thing as a buddy membership, its not any cheaper if you join with a friend. some sports clubs offer discounted memberships during freshers week, last year it was as low at 130euro.

170 fir students who join before yesterday. 190 for the next 2 weeks then it goes up to 225.
Higher price for staff, higher again for public.

You can bring 2 free guests with you each time but you have to escort them.

Actually you get two free electronic passes (they are tagged to your membership on the gym computer) when you join to use on friends. It can either be the same friend twice or two friends once. You have to escort a guest on their first visit. After these passes have been used its 7euro for student guests and 12euro for the public.

I was a member last year and renewed it this year and I thought 2 ppl could come with me whenever. How sure are you?

Why would they allow two ppl to come with you whenever? it doesnt make sense. thats like giving out 3 gym memberships for the price of one. No other gym does this, u only get 2 free passes so that your guest gets the feels for the gym and eventually join themselves. I dont speak for the gym but like i`m pretty much 99.99% positive cuz loads of my friends have joined or renewed in the past 2 weeks.

there was an offer for 2 people to join together for 177 euro each, or a single for 249. it's not a great gym.

yeah it's ok, can get very busy sometimes. Still, i won't be finished until 6 most days this year so it's handy and 170 for the year beats anywhere else i know of.

It's the ryanair of gyms, by far the lowest fare gym in the locality (Riverview costs thousands) its gets the job done and is generally friendlier than the other gyms too!
