I want to get navel repierced

How long do I need to wait, I got old one lanced out end of July in a+e because it was growing out and i couldnt get it off properly.
Now theres a bumpy scar.
can I get it done again?

I dunno how bad it is..I'd say go to a decent piercer and have them look at it and see how long they suggest.I know you can get some creams and stuff to try and get rid of scar tissue put I don't know much about them as I've nver needed them.I know if I had a piercing reject and wanted it redone, I'd wait a few motnsh at least....but that's just me..

Alright, it still stings like theres an infection in it, does that mean its getting better. Do u know the way things hurt more when they are healing.

how long ago was it exactly that you had it removed??
if it still stings..then definitly leave it...
the thing with repiercing things that have rejected, is they can reject again, but faster..not all the time...but they will if they can and they'll find it easier to push through...
if it's not 100% yet....then you definitly have to wait until it heals up...
is it still sore and red?
I'd suggest massaging zinc (15%) into in twice a day, it always helps for me for any bit of irratation...its got good healing properties

sorry..just realsied that you said you got it out in july...

if you have a raised scar, definitly rub zinc cream into it...
it'll take away irratation and help rid the scar....that's what I'm using to get the scar to fade from getting my trans implants...

it'll be ok..
but i'd suggest, if you really wanna get it repierced, seeing a PROFESSIONAL piercer.

Similar thing happened to me. However, mine actually ripped out so i was left with quite a big raised scar.

I used that zinc stuff mentioned earlier, and bio-oil. Took a while for the scar and the redness to fade, and i got it re-pierced about 9 months later.

Id recommend waiting a good few months, just to let the area heal before ya go poking more metal in it.

And btw, the scar is barely noticable now

Well its hard to tell really.... Mine is only barely noticeable now, and thats if your looking closely.

Wait for the scar to become less raised and as close to normal skin colour as poss (it wont ever really be exactly the same but close enough)

What i noticed when i got it re-pierced, was that the piercing kind of distracts the eyes from the scar, it was amazing really! once i got it pierced it was like the scar disappeared!

I'd imagin you're scar should go away relatively well..I'd recommend the zonc cream... you'll get in any chemist...get it with 15% zinc,it'll say it on the ingredients...and mine's in a white tub..it's all I could ever get...
I'd say wait til at least next year before getting it repierced..just to make sure.

there's my most recent pics of them.
Le rack..they're basically, too bars that were put under my skin and then 2 holes dermal punched in me to screw on the tops..they're permanent..god..if i didn't know what they were..i'd have no idea what i was talking about...
I got them to look like a surface piercign..just cos thats how i wanted them..but basically i was cut open for this..there's pics somewhere

cactushan, they're pretty good,thanks for asking..were a little tempremental lask week, but they're settling really well now...getting a lot of strange looks..but i guess it's to be expected!lol!

as for zinc cream..it's about 7 euro for a little tub of it...not too expensive.It's gently enough for piercings, I find it works wonders anyway! Zinc has really good healing properties..and I imagine it should clear up you're neck, cos my sister had the same as you and I made her use it and it got rid of any irratation..best bed is too massage it in twice a day.

I got a good deal of 230 euro for the two of mine...ok so 230 is a lot of money..but you'd be lucky to get it done for that price..
each bar in me is supposedly bought in for 80euro each..making it expensive..usually what I got done..would be 350 give or take...more then likely give a bit!

I'd go for the ones in cootes link quicker than yours tbh, yours are really cool, but the design in those ones is great! ARe you getting more done to yours or leaving them as is?

I'll be getting my other wrist done the same as the way I have my one at the moment, but it'll be a while..I have to go to Dublin to get them..and I'm repeating my leaving cert at the moment, so I dunno when..I'm aiming for before June 2006..but we'll see....ideally, it'll be before Januray..but I dunno..
yeah I love the design in the pic too..I want something close to that design, but I want them up the tops of my arms, rather then low down....I intend on putting a lot more money into my body unforuntly!!!lol!!!

I may have joined this a tad late but Jezza, if I were you mate I'd leave it be- I dont pretend to know a vast amount about piercing, (I dont have any which I would consider major!) but in terms of skin, the scar tissue will become thicker each time it is damaged.
Indeed if you are unhappy with the marks you have a new piercing could look beautiful and mask it (if thats what you wanted), but if you dont know why it went bad last time, it could happen again, which will lead to a cycle of gristle and holes!
As my ma says, dont walk on a broken leg.
