ntoskrnl.exe any ideas?

    on boot of a desktop running NT4.0 this file is said to be missing..
    any ideas?
    also gets as far as the ran test and locks-up
    any ideas?

    the machine doesn't get far enough to run setup.exe
    its crashing on boot

    Run winnt.exe (setup prog.). When asked select repair. If u have an emergency repair disk it will ask u to insert it and you're laughing. If not ask repair to inspect startup environment and it should repair/replace missing files.

    Do u have the three startup boot disks for installing NT ? Use these.
