What we say...
Silver City, the biggest thing on Ralph Lawson's 20:20 Label at the moment and indeed one of the biggest things in house music full stop, with all the usual DJ mags giving their recent self titled album full marks. Fernando Pulichino and Julian Sanza hail from Buena Aires, but now call Leeds home after being picked up by 2020. They are also 2 parts to the 8 legged 2020 Soundsystem, playing big shows around the word, including a headlining slot at this year's Sonar.
The recent Spiritcatcher remix of their tune 'Another Dimension' is a hot contender for our collective tune of the year too.
Anyway, We've been fans of them since they used to go by the name Ciudad Feliz and were happy to have 'em do a live show and DJ set in our place now that their big shots.


What they say...
Silver City is the 2020 Vision production alias of Fernando Pulichino and Julian Sanza. They started to produce house music in 1996 as Ciudad Feliz (Happy City) in their hometown of Mar del Plata, Argentina, and released their debut album “Barrenador” in the year 2000 through Buenos Aires label Estatus Discos.

It was at the Miami Winter Music Conference 2000 that they began to move further into their recording career as they got signed to Jef K’s Silver Network label in Paris.
This led to releases on have also had releases on Stickman (Canada) and Soundplant (Italy)

These early releases caused a stir amongst the international house scene and some of the tracks have been featured on some high profile compilations around the world.

Their two debut 2020 EP’s; “1969” and “Elastic” showcased their superb, bass heavy deep and driving sound over six tracks. “Say Hi” saw the guys move into more live instrumentation and even adding their own vocals, they are currently working towards their first Silver City album.

They are also two parts of the eight-legged groove machine that is 2020SoundSystem alongside Ralph Lawson and Dubble D, playing high profile shows around the world.
