Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Radio interference question

My radio sometimes (well most times) has interference which is related to the acceleration, more power more flickering-ticking noise. Is this a bad earth?

I believe your alternator should have radio noise suppression built in. If it does not, you can stick a big capacitor (1f) in parallel with the radio's power supply to smooth any alternating current.

I get the same thing in my DS - the iPod charger pick up the interference, the radio itself is OK.

DS20 is right but check the earth first, particularly if it's a new thing.

Spark plugs cause radio interference too, altough like the alternator there should be shielding there already.

    I'm clueless regarding car audio.

ds20prefecture, I laughed at the sight of DS and iPod in the same sentence! :D:o
