No, only network can provide codes, no cable unlock is available

Some UK and French phones can be unlocked via code, but cost is £50-£70 sterling so very expensive

What network are you with and are you bill or prepay?

yeah. trycktill.com will do it. select 6230 because 6111 isn't listed

If it is a Qtek 9100 then it will be unlocked already, if it is a branded version of the HTC Wizard such as O2 Mini S then they can be unlocked easily if they are the G3 version

No, each code is specific to the IMEI of the phone and the network it is locked to

I'm just after buying a nokia 6280 off ebay and its locked to 3 UK. Is it hard/expensive to get it unlocked? Also the guy in carphone warehouse was saying that sometime with u unlock 3g phones the features stop working, such as the camera and other things. Is this true or was he just taking the piss?

Only 3UK can provide the code and they are one of the worst at getting codes from, unless the previous registered own requests it and even then it will cost a few pounds.

Unlocking stopping the camera working is pure bullsh*t!!

Unless you plan using a 3UK SIM in the phone I suggest selling it again on eBay and looking for a sim free one instead.

Nokia 6280 can only be unlocked by the network as far as I'm aware. Get onto 3 (I assume you're on 3... 3g is a service, not a network) and see what they can do - but be prepared for hassle.
