R 3 really that bad at giving the unlock codes? The person i bought it off said she has had it for 12 months so maybe she might have just finished a contract(just sent her a message asking), would they not give the code cuz u have finished their contract? do they charge for it and how much? Also does it matter if its her, the original owner, or me ringing up to ask for it?

So i just got a message back from the person i bought my 6280 off she said that 3 r going to unlock the phone for only £3 pounds. Although its apparently going to take 15 days?!?!?! Dunno how it could take that long but the main thing its being unlocked and very cheaply. Now hopefully the phone is in as "excelent condition" as the seller says it is.

Regarding the O2 Sony Ericsson W810i I wouldn't shell out to get it unlocked.

I rang O2 data support this afternoon and they were very helpful. It was done over the phone for me.
