i dont know if this has been posted before, but the thread is way too long to read every entry now, so for anyone who's having real difficulty you can always go to a mobile phone shop and they'll unlock it for €25

by the way if always had success with Smart DCT4 Calc
here's a screenshot of my version, dont know how old it is though:

    smart%20dct.jpg

Note: Nokia, Samsung, LG and alcatel supported

    Get the latest here
or for a very usefull unlock calculator click download

hi, that's what the "Search This Thread" facility is for...

as pretty much everything to do with unlocking has been covered previously and new questions are mostly repeats (by those who don't search) it might be time to close it down and leave it for reference...

I Bought this in England last week and am currently looking on how to unlock an NEC e616.

Could someone please give me any details on how to unlock it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,863 ✭✭✭The_B_Man

can u not go into a vodafone shop and explain that u got it in england and u need it unlocked? i know a girl who did the opposite, got a fone here and got it unlocked over there. think it was for free aswell. not 100% sure though.

I need someones help who has unlocked a Sony Ericsson k700i. I bought it sim free but had to ask o2 how to unlock it. After 2 weeks, today they sent me an email with an unlocking code. Their instructions were a little unclear (ive never even held a sony ericsson before,so not familiar with the buttons) and so I rang customer help. They hadnt a clue how to help me except to follow their beloved "procedure".
this is the email I got

"Power on the phone and enter pin code where necessary
Press the left arrow key quickly, (this is under the 'yes' key)
Then press the * (star) key twice (this is under the '7' key)
Press the left arrow key again quickly
'Unlock Network Lock' will appear on the screen, press the 'Yes' key and then enter the unlocking code.
The 086 sim card needs to be in the phone while carrying this out."

I have an 086 sim card from a friend so i put it in,entered pin guessed what the left arrow was and got to a screen where i entered the code but it said wrong code. I may have been a totaly wrong screen though which is highly likely. I didnt even get to a screen where it said Unlock Network Lock, so I think i was in a wrong place.

I tried looking in the manual but didnt find what the left arrow key or "yes" key was. I tried the back key that looks like an arrow and moving the joypad left aswell. What is the left arrow key and yes key. How can I enter this code right?

sorry for the length of this,o2 just piss me off with their "help"

thanks in advance if anyone can help

Just bought a motorola V550 on RTG and have found conflicting reports as to whether it can be unlocked (or how easily it can be unlocked).

Anyone any info about V550 unlocking???
    :)

Just wondering if there is anyone out there in the Galway city area that can unlock o2 motorola camera phones if you can let me know, or if you need to know the exact model let me know. Thank you

PS: It is a network unlock, just want to stay with vodafone network but like this phone.

I'm guessing that you have a V300. I can't give you any specific location but they can be unlocked.
Anyway, I wanted to mention that Vodafone give a lot of grief with the V300. Its not compatible with Vodafone Live and some customer care reps will refuse to send the GPRS settings to it. I used to have a V300 with Vodafone and I couldn't get GPRS working because they wouldn't provision me on the GPRS network as the phone was "not approved for the network" (even though the phone will happily accept the V525 settings). I ported one week later, too much hassle.

I just wanted to make you aware of that before you spend money unlocking it.

I've seen a few people ask about unlocking Sagem phones but have seen no replies. So does anyone know how to unlock a Sagem myv-55?
