    Hi Guys,

    I was wondering if anyone here has managed to unlock a 6030. I have one that I not using that I would like to unlock and give to my bro, I downloaded some software but when I put in the code nothing happens. Can anyone recommend a program or perhaps someone has unlocked one alreayd?

    For anyone wishing to unlock their phone in Ireland: IT IS NOT ILLEGAL!Dont waist your time handing out IMIE numbers to dodgy websites who charge a fortune for doing nothing. If you're a registered customer with meteor just call them up and give them a "valid" reason for needing to unlock the phone (lengthy holiday, business trip etc). They will SMS you the code within 5 working days NO CHARGE. They are obliged to do it. Im sure the other networks operate a similar policy.

    Yes, this is all well and good but some people bought the phone second hand, found it on the street, etc - as far as I know the networks can refuse to unlock the phone if it's not registered to you (i.e. you can't prove ownership).

    Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

    Ok so through my research on the internet I have discovered that I cannot remotely unlock this phone...

    I bought a second hand one from my mate, and it's locked to vodafone, i don't have a vodafone sim, I'm on 3, does anyone know if any nokia or vodafone shops can unlock it? And if so, do they charge extortionate amounts of money to do so?
