that's box code 33552 - should be 32821

The code will only remove the network lock - nothing else.

i have done the silliest thing:( that I know people are going to get annoyed with but yes I bought a phone from ebay........nokia n76 locked to Vodaphone uk......anyone know ANYBODY or ANYWHERE that will make me feel better by unlocking it cheers for listening!

Hi,
I have a Nokia 6161, it is locked to Vodafone, I changed to Meteor and the man in Meteor shop called Vodafone and they gave him an unlocking code, this didn't work however. I also looked up the code on the internet and entered it and it didn't work either. The man from Meteor tells me the only way to unlock it is to send it to Vodafone (in Louth) where they will unlock it. This could take up to 3 weeks and there is no insurance when sending it I don't think. I thought this was ridiculous but the lad from Meteor just said it's Vodafone's "way of doing things".

So... I need to unlock this Nokia (which I purchased in November 2006), apparently it is a new phone so there are no codes available.
Does anyone think they can help me? Please note, codes have been entered maybe 4 times now to no avail.

Yeah you're right, it's actually a 6151, the reason I thought it was a 6161 was because I wasn't sure of what model it was so I lifted up the battery and checked underneath and it said "Model: 6161" so that's why I thought it was a 6161 and then I entered Nokia 6161 into google images and the first picture was indeed my phone! I have just looked at the real 6161, wow it looks like a brick!!
I'll have a look around google for the codes to unlock the 6151 now. Thing is, I just got my mam's new upgrade (a Nokia 6230i) from Vodafone which we got the man from Vodafone to unlock in the shop before we bought it and only cost €39!
Anyone wanna buy my 6151 heheh!

Afraid the 6151 is a BB5 Nokia and cannot be unlocked by calculating codes, PLUS, even if you got a code for it now, you seem to have used up the number of attempts to unlock it.

Has to be unlocked by hardware. No codes option for this phone except from 3, and we all know what that means

This message means you have entered too many incorrect codes and the phone is hardlocked, but as its not a new BB5 type Nokia, it CAN be unlocked by the correct hardware.
