Unfortunately the phone's in Dublin, and I amn't, and I don't even know the model number.

update: actually it's a 6300 and can't be unlocked at that site.

yeah I have a 6300 also and it not listed on that site yet. The unlocking codes depend on the model.
Some of the new sony ericsson can only be unlocked with a cable but nearly all nokia's so far can be unlocked with an unlocking code (not sure about the n series or e series)

There is a little shop there on Moore St that does mobile unlocking, I got my k750i unlocked there. It costed around a tenner too. I can't think of the name of it though.

I want to use my Meteor sim PAYG card in it but when I put the Meteor card in it, it asks me for a "subsidy code" after I put the sim number in.
What do I need to do to get it to work with the Meteor sim?

OK, you can get most phones unlocked if you call the network its locked to and play ball with them. Worked for me plenty, recently got my nokia n73 unlocked from o2 on the second call. try it

the thing is its not actually the phone i have registered with them at the moment, its the phone i had before i upgraded. i think thats why there not sending me the code! its still a meteor phone though.

Can anyone help me out by either referring me to a place to download unlock software of a code? Phone is Sharp GX25, I have the usb cable for it and its locked to vodafone.ie, i want to use this phone with my meteor sim card.

I've been googling a while but coming up with random bad sites asking for various amounts to unlock it.

Was it on a contract with Meteor or if not, and it was Pay as you go, and you spent over 130 euros, they (Meteor) should give you the code

I have "Contact Service provider" on the phone after I put in the sim code
and can't go any further.
