    Google is your friend!

E50 is BB5 platform, so only options are to get code from Vodafone, or go to unlocking shop for hardware unlock

Can you unlock a Sony Ericsson Z610i on 3 network?

Also a w810i on O2. Do I need a cable to unlock this for a meteor sim?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22 --Wacker--

I think the w810 needs a cable to unlock if you can't get the code.

I found a nokia 6300 with an o2 sim in it.Can it be unlocked to meteor?

Okay an interesting one for you all.
Bought a nokia 3310 off ebay, seller said it was unlocked. I put in a SIM and it isn't....so I got a calc, found the code and unlocked it....now it's saying "SIM card not accepted".
The handset was originally locked to Orange UK. What am I missing?

Only unlockable by the network as far as I know.

Why not prove After Hours wrong and hand it into an O2 store?

Did the phone confirm the restriction was off when you put in the code? Or what did it say?

I'm pretty sure it did, I've done a few nokias and it beeped the same way and something like a tickmark flashed up on screen for a second. I didn't try unlocking it a second time (only just went to give it to someone earlier and it wouldn't work, not had charger to test up till now).
The calc only threw up 2 possible codes for it (I used the first one IIRC) after putting orange in as the provider....usually there's 7 for the Irish networks, that's why I thought it might be something to do with it being an Orange handset.
I'll try unlocking again and post back.

Guessing there may be a second lock, so try the second code too

Okay ready to bounce this off the wall (probably still wouldn't break it)...I've made sure it's unlocked, any code I enter, I get the tickmark and a "SIM not restricted" message....but when I try and put a meteor SIM into the phone, it says SIM card not accepted.
So the restriction is off yet it won't recognise the SIM? (I've tried it with a much older SIM just to make sure it wasn't some sort of backward compatability thing but it doesn't work for that either. It allows me to enter the SIM PIN, after that nothing.
Anyone? The phone's worth f*ck all, but it's for an elderly relative that can't work the new ones and I've already promised her twice I'd have it working...

Thanks man, I wasn't too sure about this, but apparently orange engage a second SIM lock so you need both codes to unlock. What was getting me was the phone saying it was unrestricted after entering one. I generated two new codes, enertered both and it's working fine.
    Thanks for everyone's help.

Would be grateful if you could provide unlocking code for a Nokia 1200 locked to o2 ireland. IMEI 358054016889094
No free codes for that. Only way ATM is to get code from network.

Anybody know somewhere I can go to unlock a Symbian 8 nokia N70? It's BB5 as I recall.

Yes it can. You need to get the code from your Network Operator though. I'm on Vodafone and logged onto My Vodafone and was able to get my specific unlock code from there.
