ah ok. what do you mean you cant get it going?
type in the imei, select 6070 and select meteor and get codes. thats it

if you are getting cannot undo restriction it means you have already used up too many tries and it is hardlocked and can only be done by cable/hardware

Does anybody know how to unlock a security key gaurd lock on a nokia 6680? If i go to one of those crazy looking phone shops in Moore Street will they be able top do it?

Yes, but not by codes unless from the network
If its a bill phone, O2 should give you unlock code over the phone. If its PAYG, they require something like €150 topup on your account!! Otherwise, you need to use cable/hardware solution

It's an O2 'pay as you go' phone. What software can unlock this phone? I would stay with O2 but I would like to be SIM free so I can use different SIM's while abroad.

One of said places should be able to help you out.

Vodafone UK and Vodafone IE are not the same network so for the purposes of unlocking it's like using a Meteor SIM in a locked O2 phone. i.e. it won't work.
