    Hey all, hope you can help!

    I was given a Blackberry Pearl as a present but its locked to O2.
    I rang O2 Ireland and they took my IMEI number and did a search and told me that it was a UK handset, and gave me the number for O2 in the UK.
    I rang them and they were very unhelpful and told me that they wouldn't unlock it for 12 months.

    I want to get the unlock code online now but I'm unsure as to what site to use, I did a search and came up with "unlock search" and I purchased it, but it was only a list of ways to unlock it, not actually the code.

    Anyone used any reputable sites?

    Thanks in advance! smile.gif

    If you read the thread in the link, it only works with phones from the first year of production (around '05), if yours is a newer phone it won't unfortunately work.

    Yes :), but no free codes. Unlock by code from network or unlock shop.

    What's the average cost of getting it unlocked? Its just spare phone so if too costly its going off to Jack & Jill

    Hi,
    Bought a blackberry from a guy on adverts without doing any research.
    It seems that these phones cannot be software unlocked.
    I got a tornado sim from a shop on Georges Street but it kept dropping the coverage and stopped working altogether yesterday.
    Is there any unlock code available for this phone?
    Thanks.
    Sham

    I can provide Blackberry unlock codes. Codes can take up-to 1 week to acquire, most times within 72 hours.

    I need the following info;

    IMEI
    Country & network phone is locked too

    This is not a free service, as I have to pay to get the code. If you wish to get the code, pm me.

    If you do a search trough this thread you'll see the same question answered many times. :)

    Here is the answer;

    This is a BB5 type Nokia phone, the only way to unlock them is to get the unlock code from the network. Most unlocking shops can unlock most of the BB5 models by special unlocking boxes. I myself can unlock them because I spent over €500 on the equipment.

    See my sig ;)

    That is an early BB5 model that can be unlocked by using the free "bb5 unlock be Dejan Kaljevic" This works for 6600, 6630, 6680(1)(2) n70, n90 etc and is widely available on the net. All you will need is a DKU-5 usb to serial cable, They are E15 in the phone shop past Hogans on Georges st, dublin. The cable will pay for itself after 1 use.

    Here is a link for details, http://themediaguru.blogspot.com/2007/05/free-bb5-unlock-now-available.html

    Good luck
