I'm in the same situation, trying to unlock a 3 n73 but I'm getting the feeling this can only be done in a shop or pay 3 a ridiculous amount to get the code. Last time I needed to unlock a phone it was with o2 and I just rang up and they gave it to me.

3 charge the number its registered to €27 so I'd kick them in the a~~e and get it unlocked in a shop

Yeah guys rang 3 and they told me it would cost €27 to give me code plus there had to be €120 spent on credit on the phone. So I just went to shop and got it unlocked with latest software update and all. It cost €30 but out of principle would not pay 3 for the code.

I have a Nokia 6500 slide and when I left the 3 network I requested the unlock code. 25 euro later and three attempts later I had locked it permenently because they had given me an incorrect code. My question is are there any stores on the northside of Dublin or Meath that can unlock the phone. Thanks in advance

I can unlock ALL Nokia phones, hardlocked ect... Get the phone to me by 10AM tomorrow collect it between 12PM~6PM tomorrow.

Nokia unlock codes look like this;

#pw+123456789012345+1#

Each Nokia phone has it's own unlocking code. To enter the unlock code, first put a foreign sim card in the phone, i.e. - if the phone is locked to the O2 network, put a non O2 sim card in the phone. When you turn the phone on, you will usually see an error message saying "Phone Restricted" and you will have an option to "Undo Restriction", press "Undo Restriction" and enter the unlock code in this format;

#PW+XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX+1#

The letter P will appear after quickly pressing the star button ( * ) 3 times.
The letter W will appear after quickly pressing the star button ( * ) 4 times.
The letter + will appear after quickly pressing the star button ( * ) 2 times.

The phone should show the message "SIM Restriction Off" or a similar message to confirm that is it unlocked.

Thanks a million. Worked a treat. Just goes to show the info from Vodafone- while complying with regulator- does not make it easy for a user to unblock phone.
interesting to note that Vodafone claim you can only get 9 unblocking opportunities! Sounds a bit random.

No problem. You only get 3 chances to unlock it by code. Vodafone probably told you 9 times so you'd hardlock it, making it more of a hassle to get it unlocked therefore keeping you on their network longer.

There is a new lg handset (ks360) I want to buy but it is only available on Orange in the UK.
If I were to buy this does anyone know if it can be unlocked from Orange?
