Ring your network and ask them for the code, they are obliged to give you the unlock code when you've spent €130ish on your account since you got the phone.

Anyone recommend a reputable unlock shop around Wicklow town, Bray or or route between? Inclined to visit in person so there's someone I can throttle if they break my phone ;)

I have the unlock code for my N95 and when I try and unlock it it says SIM Card Verification Failed.

Edit: Just spoke to someone from Vodafone and they said the unlock code was probably tried 5 times or more and the phone would have to be sent in.. Anybody know another way around this?

Nope, it locks if entered more than 5 times, end of.

Wrong, 3 wrong codes will hard lock the phone. And I can unlock the phone, even when 3 wrong codes have been entered.

-The way to unlock new samsung phones is:

1.- Turn on your phone without sim card.
    2.- Type *2767*688#
3.- Now the phone turns off and wait till it turn on.
    4.- Thissolution is tested by me in samsung S500, E700, X100, X600, X430, X410.
And probably it works in all new phones.

    Regards from spain.

Does anyone know if this method works for the samsung M600 locked to O2.
This is a quote from 2004 so things have probably changed since then :)

Thanks for that whist. I Gave them a buzz earlier but I can't make it in on saturdays to get it done.

I wasted my time & money by going into town today and got a "turbo sim" to see if that would do the trick - even temporarily. But nope its not working in any phone I try it. Very disapointed

Can't be done. You'll have to take it to a place that can unlock BB5 phones ( E51, N series etc..) Few lads on here I'm sure could recommend you a place ;)

Contract or PAYG? If contract then it is illegal for then to refuse you the unlock code, the phone is yours.

Find a country they don't have a roaming agreement with and tell them you will be going there for a 3 months stint or something and you require the code.

It even says on the 3 website that they unlock the phone for an admin fee of around €20.
