Hi all

This is a general unlocking question. Im sure its been answered previously but search didn't help and I don't feel like going through a couple hundred pages

I was thinking of buying a 'smart phone' and I am on Meteor pre-pay

If I buy an unlocked phone and throw the sim card in, Will I still be able to access all applications? Or will there be limitations

I assume that BB5 phones still require the network to unlock them for you? Chances of Vodafone unlocking an N95 for me, if I use details of a friends number who's been with them donkeys years? Or could I just tell them the truth and say I got it 2nd hand and didn't realise it was locked, yadda yadda.....

Don't mind paying.

You might get it from Vodafone otherwise Columba Rad wil unlock it for you.

a freind of mine wants to buy his g/f a new phone for christmas and is contemplating either the nokia 7310 or 5310 but needs one that can be unlocked.

hi guys i bought a mini i phone for my daughter on line from hongkong we inserted the vodphone sim and it worked fine then we rang it chhristmas morning and when my 9 year old went to make a call it told her network fail help please if anyone can as it was a santa pressie :(:( many thanks
