Wolfman/anyone,

I have a new Nokia 6610i locked to O2
Aarrgghh - i thought I had this Nokia unlocking trick mastered.Had no problems unlocking a DCT3 Nokia before.
I was using Code Calculator 5.4, entered the correct IMEI, and country provider, and selected Griffin Clip first (and later Griffin New calculation)
Used code #7 and code #1, but no good.

What did I do wrong?
What cable do I need now to unlock it?

How many attempts have you had at it?
You get 5 in total before you need to cable unlock it

Oh! Crap
Problem is, its not as simple as just needing a cable with Nokias
You need a cable PLUS a device made specifically for unlocking Nokias, but the cost would be prohibitive.

Just send the imei number in a private message to me and I will send you back the unlock code

get the imei by pressing *#06#

They cant be unlocked by code unless you get it from a network

What "clip" (griffen, V1, V2 etc) type is needed to unlock a Nokia 6680?
I have recently bought the phone but would prefer to unlock it myself. I have DCT3/4 Generator software, but do not know what clip is needed for the 6680.

The only reason that I am asking is that I would prefer to unlock it myself and also I am not giving my IMEI/IMSI out over the internet.

Just bought a phone off boards and just turned it on and this has come up on it:

"phone restricted"

Does this mean its locked to a Network or it is the old users passcode he didn't clear?

Can anyone help as I need this phone to work in the US?
