UNLOCKING Qs? - *Only* post in this thread.

Hi There!
Can anyone help me? I've just moved home having lived in the UK for the past three years and I'd like to unlock my uk mobile to use an irish sim - my mobile is a Motorola V3 and I also have an LG U8138, my husbands mobile is a motorola V975 - can anyone help?

I got mine unlocked in a little place on Georges Street, its opposite the Long Hall pub. It used to be a shop called teknofone but now a couple of friendly chinese guys have set up "shop" there. Its not much to look at when you go in but they do a grand job for €15.

Has to be done by cable, or get the code off Vodafone.

its not in english but the you should be able to follow it. i tried a 6230 on nokiafree.org (7th and 1st code) the other day and failed. trycktills 7th code worked

It's just I've been told that you can get firmware updates from the SE website which basically replace the O2/Voda/Meteor branded "OS" on the phone, and that you can do this with the cable supplied ... but only heard it from one person.

Hello - I hope someone can help me.
I have a Nokia 3410 that Im trying to get working.
Previously it was simlocked and I managed to get a code from http://www.trycktill.com/unlock_swe.asp to unlock it.
It worked for a while but now it doesnt seem to pick up the Meteor network anymore.
I have tried searching for the network manually but it tells me 'No Access'
I have also checked for locks using the codes below but all say 'Phone was not restricted'.

#PW+1234567890+1# = GIVES PROVIDER-LOCK STATUS
#PW+1234567890+2# = GIVES NETWORK-LOCK STATUS
#PW+1234567890+3# = GIVES COUNTRY-LOCK STATUS

Any assistance is greatly appreciated....

your problem has nothing to do with the phone being locked. if the phone was locked it would ask for the pin, then say phone restricted and go no further. phone meteor and ask them why you've no access

I called them before and they said it must be network restricted although I suspect I had more of a clue than the person I spoke to....

Try the 1st then the 5th. I find when unlocking the Nokia 6610i it hardlocks after 3 wrong codes. How many times have you got the "Code Error" massage?
