sorry i forgot to ask if it can be done online or does it have to be hooked up to a computer?

Yes it can be done using calculator if you have not used any tries
If you have used them up, you will need to have it done with hardware

Not quite an unlocking problem, vodafone have agreed to unlock it for me so that i can use it on o2 but they said that because it's 3g it won't work on o2's network.

Is this true? Might there be any way to get the settings changed?

Sounds false to me, an unlocked 6630 will certainly work with an 2.5g O2 SIM

i've successfully unlocked a nokia 6101 from meteor, and want to put a vodafone sim in it.

the problem is, after unlocking it, it still has a "meteor" button on screen, and has a "welcome to meteor" graphic on startup.

is there a way to get rid of this stuff?

    cheers in advance

also, this is a really long thread so i didn't check the whole thing before posting, sorry if this has been covered

    #pw+407 657 421 433 545+7#

Enter code without the spaces using the * key to generate +, p and w characters

Normally codes 1 or 7 will unlock for you

You may be able to get rid the meteor stuff by changing theme, if not it is built into the firmware and you will need to get it reflashed

You seem to be a trader so why not just get a banner ad or something and support Boards while you're at it ?
Why do you assume www.****.net hasn't contacted boards.ie about banner advertising ?

possibly because I doubt the mods would be banning someone who uses multiple accounts to spam his site if that person was in negotiation to buy advertising...

But maybe you have a greater insight into what happened ?

It was not directed at me so there is a difference. Anyway, are you Patrick Murphy?

Well I do as I'm Patrick Murphy. I have contacted boards via e mail many times with no response. I also contacted www.salesonline.ie in regards to advertising on boards, also with no response.
