Debranding can only be done by flashing the phone
The branding on 6230i isnt particularly bad, but if you need it done, try a Nokia service centre and ask if they will flash it with generic firmware, but most of the time they will stick branding on it

If you have no luck with them, give me a shout

Be very grateful if anybody could help.
I tried to unlock my phone on one of the websites from the links on boards.ie and think i found the code to unlock the phone but its saying "phone Restricted" anybody know how to lift this barrier. I probable entered too many unlock codes even tho i only did 2 or three before i found the right one. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated cause i cant unlock the damn thing at all now. thanks

Only way to unlock is via special hardware, where are you located?

I unlocked the phone without the sim card in. Grand.
Then I had to unlock the phone with the sim card IN? Did that. Grand.

Now I have a "security code" to bypass. Tried the standad 12345 and 00000/0000 and so on.

I just sent a message there to the original owner, but if they cant help me out what else can I do?

just enter the following info into this site
http://www.trycktill.com/unlock_swe.asp

you need the type of phone, imei and network its locked to. its fairly easy to follow even in swedish (i think its swedish) but you can change it to english


turn on the phone with no sim card in and enter the 7th code it gives you

p is got by pressing * 3 times
w by pressing it 4 times
+ twice

leave boxserial as it is
