na i doubt it'll work. people have promised me they could unlock my phone before and i'm not ready to trust again

That cable can be used to flash the phones, and perhaps to unlocked, but to date there is no unlock solution for BB5 phones apart from code from network

As skearon says, this CANNOT unlock any BB5 phone such as 6630, 6680 etc etc
It is an adaptor cable used to take cables to suit the phones in question and they can only be flashed but not unlocked!!!

Its idiots like that guy on Ebay who start big discussions all over the net about BB5 unlocking only to leave people very frustrated again. It will be interesting to see the feedback from the guys he has ripped off!!

They can be unlocked alright, but will need cable solution, but I wouldnt be worried about bringing it back home. You'll get sorted

Anyone able to do a cable unlock for a nokia 6610i?

I'd like to use my new meteor simcard in the phone, but its currently locked to O2. Send me a PM if you can help (so i don't forget about the post again :P). I'm located in the rathfarnham/ballyroan area, but am in town on mondays and wednesdays and UCD belfield every other weekday.

Free is best, but really cheap would be acceptible :P

Turn your mobile off, take out the battery (make sure the battery is not low on power) and remove the sim card, re-insert the battery and turn your mobile back on, then enter the code by using your keypad.

This is how to enter the code . . .

Start with "#"
To access "p" press star "*" on your keypad three times within one second,
To access "w" press star "*" on your keypad four times within one second,
To access "+" press star "*" on your keypad twice within one second,
Then enter the numbers, (no spaces).
To access "+" press star "*" on your keypad twice within one second,
Then enter the last number,
and end with "#"
