The codes can't be gotten by anyone except Vodafone. Give them a ring as and see if they give it to you. If they don't, it stays locked.

i found a lost phone, Nokia 6230i on O2 irish network, to be exact, but unfortunely, I cannot seem to find the IMEI number which I need to unlock it. Also sum1 has tried entering in the PIN code and got it wrong so I would also need a PUK code to find the IMEI. If anyone can help me with any of the codes (PUK, IMEI, or even RESTRICTION IF POSSIBLE!!!!) please please PLEASE help me,

Turn it on with no sim in it and type *#06#
That should bring up the IMEI.

Not possible via code, you need a cable and pay online service, or someone with hardware/software to do it.

If you are in the Wicklow area I can do it for you

Im sooo sorry bout dis but i put my Meteor sim into the phone and when asked for the restriction code, i tried both ones you had given me but all that comes up is "cannot undo restriction" and then "phone restricted" flashing!!!! :eek: any suggestions????

I recently got a Motorola e770v from Vodafone Ireland! Can anyone plz tell me if it's possible to unlock it if I provide the IMEI number? Planning to go abroad for da summer and hope to take it along to pop in a local sim card and Vodafone won't give the unlock code... So is it possible to unlock it? I'll post the IMEI if it is.

Sounds like incorrect codes have been entered previously, if too many are entered the only way to unlock is via cable

It would still work anyway. As long as you have the same series class when generating they generally work. When phones are brand new sometimes they aren't listed in the generators, but as long as you pick a phone in the same series or same model variant it works
