Thanks wolfman thats great worked first time .how do you find these codes anyway my local shop couldnt unlock my 6030 and they were using a clip ?

it will do one. those options are just so it knows what settings to do it with. loads of phones have the same settings as a 6101. i think i put it 6108 the last time i did a 6101 on the site

you've used up the 5 tries. it can only be unlocked by a cable now. but to be honest, it usually costs 20 in a shop and if you trade in the 3510i you can get this:

on meteor for €29 and then unlock for use on voda. and you'll have a meteor sim with credit on it that way

IMEI: 358388005549453

I want to unlock the phone to use a Meteor sim.

I have tried some of the methods/sites on this thread with no success. I now have ONE unlock attempt left so any replies (please!!!) must have 100% chance of success please!!!

Btw, do I have to have an O2 sim in the phone when attempting to unlock or will I leave the Meteor sim in?

Any replies will be greatly appreciated... thanks G23

to both posters, this is the procedure:

turn the phone on with no sim card in it. where it says insert sim, type in the code.
p is got by pressing * 3 times
w is got b ypressing * 4 times
+ is got by pressing * twice

it should say one of the following:
restriction off - all good
cannot undo restriction - tries used up
code error - won't say this because the codes are right


if nothing happens when you press the last #, turn the phone on your current network's sim in, not the new one (i don't think this makes a difference but i've never done it the other way so i can't guarantee it). enter the code at the normal screen the same way as before

i'm going to assume you mean 6101 because there is no nokia 1601. the code below is for a 6108 and should be the same as the 6101 code. try it out and let me know if it works.

trycktill doesn't list a 6021 either so that code is for a 3120. again it should work but might not. don't keep trying if you get a code error message. just make sure you have it right before pressing the last #

you can't unlock to another network. unlocking means it can be used on all networks. but sagems need special equipment, an unlocking cable that's not the same as a data cable. best bet is to try vodafone. just remember that you have a right to the code and don't listen to any of their lies about not being able to get the code etc. i can guarantee they have the code for a myv-55 because i phoned up about one last year and she called it back to me 30 seconds later.

if they continue to lie and say they can't unlock it, an unlocking shop would do it for €20
