you can't unlock to another network. unlocking means it can be used on all networks. but sagems need special equipment, an unlocking cable that's not the same as a data cable. best bet is to try vodafone. just remember that you have a right to the code and don't listen to any of their lies about not being able to get the code etc. i can guarantee they have the code for a myv-55 because i phoned up about one last year and she called it back to me 30 seconds later.

if they continue to lie and say they can't unlock it, an unlocking shop would do it for €20

Nice one, they gave me the code straight away. I just told them i was moving to Spain for the summer and wanted to use a VodafoneES sim in my phone. I gave them a story about last summer i had to pay to have a phone unlocked and i didn't want to have to do that again. Brilliant.

    Thanks Commander Vimes.

I'm just over the Wicklow Gap, if you want to travel over to Wicklow as it can't be done by IMEI

i'm going to assume you mean 6101 because there is no nokia 1601. the code below is for a 6108 and should be the same as the 6101 code. try it out and let me know if it works.

thanks commander that done the job :D

Can be done without one, but its a very specialised unlock on Pebl!

I urgently need the unlcok code - have asked Vodafone for it but they don't have it so have requested it from Siemens but that was ten days ago! Could anyone possibly provide me with it? The IMEI is 350673513621912
for a Siemens C45. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I'm looking for a code for a nokia 6230i. The website I've used in the past doesn't seem to be free anymore. I've tried 1 code so far.
    IMEI is 359394006718716
    It's locked to Vodafone Ireland.

    Cheers,
    Raz

Yes via special hardware/software or normal cable and a pay online account, where are you located?

    Hi
A friend bought a car couple of weeks ago it came from the UK through a dealer.
He found a nokia 6680 in the car but it is locked.
When I put my Sim into it, it asks for my pin which it accepts but then asks for a phone pin which we don't know.
Can this be reset or is the phone junk.

You can't unlock these at the moment.
Maybe in the future, but not right now.

what do you mean by a phone pin? do you mean the security code? the default is 12345. if the phone is locked and you put a foreign sim in it a 6680 says "sim card not valid". i just checked it in mine. if its not saying that your problem isn't to do with the phone being locked

    try this:

remove the mmc card. then turn phone off. press

Green dial key, 3 and * (ALL AT THE SAME TIME)

and turn it on. that does a hard reset and should restore the phone to factory settings

Thanks. I've been reading up on it (should have really done that before buying it :) ), and it seems like MSSv4 and Ultima Box can both do it, anybody know anywhere using them ?

Hi. No need to reply to tell me im a fool for not checking in the first place, cos its done now...anyway

I bought the nokia 6680 off eBay but its locked to the UK 3G network. Have scoured the net and no one has codes for it (lots of chancers on ebay advertising codes but most of the feedback sayin it not working)

WHats my options here? I bought it so wud be willing to pay a few more quid to get it unlocked. Im living in dublin. Is there a store that will assist? (want to use my o2 sim in it) Thanks!

There is no way to unlock these, except by the network it came from.
No one else can unlock them, however much you pay. No store can assist, it's not a case of being willing.
Your options are to contact the seller and get them to get you the unlock code or stick the phone into a drawer and wait til someone someday cracks the code for these things.

Jaysus, surely there's some punter out there who can do it! Whats the best way for me to get 3G UK to do it? Will it wash with them if i tell them i bought the phone off eBay and i want to use it in Ireland?? Can 3 Ireland not unlock it? Its the same company is it not? Thanks anyway dude.

i'm afraid you've bought yourself an expensive paperweight mate

edit: it'll turn on with no sim card in so you can use the mp3 player and video player if that's any consolation

If someone was able to do it, they'd be shouting it out. No one can unlock these.
3 won't unlock for you either. You'll have to get the original owner to get the unlocking code for you. It's the same parent company as in Ireland, but it's a different type of lock. I'm afraid you've spent a lot of money on something pretty much useless. I'd sell it on.

give us the imei and we'll do it or go to www.trycktill.com and do it yourself. it doesn't list a 6101 so use a 6108 instead
