oh dear, you've tried unlocking before haven't you? that message comes up when all the tries are used up. you get somewhere between 3 and 5 tries before the phone "hard locks" and needs a special unlocking cable to unlock. your best bet is to see if someone here will help you out. failing that its a trip to a shop to get them to do it. usually €20 or so

nope. no one has cracked the BB5 software yet. well there's a rumour about some bloke from latvia or some such but he's not sharing if he exists. the only way is to get the code of vodafone uk. vodafone ie won't help you

I'm about to buy a k750i from Sarge - where's the best place to get it unlocked/debranded in Dublin. Preferably somewhere in town that I can walk to from around Grafton street. Though anywhere in Dublin will do.

as i said on the last page the 6630 can't be unlocked by anyone except vodafone. ring them and get the code. if they tell you they don't have it they're lieing

Hi just wanted some advice and thought id ask the exsperts my local phone shop i scloseing down and i know the owner well he offered me his unlocking gear it a small machine called a superclip he told me to make him an offer ive been reading up about it and there a newer version called superclip2 out now would i be better off buying the newer one or should i chance the one he is trying to sell me please let me know what u guys think.

Freedom Mobiles can do these and have been doing the unlock AND W800 conversion for a LONG time now!

Thanks Wolfman, I'll give Freedom a lash tomorrow morning. Whereabouts on North Main Street are they? Do you know what they charge for an unlock - ie, is it more than my buying the special cable and a Davinci credit?

The shop I went into was that funny little place next door to Dunnes, they sell loads of oriental decorations/plastic flowers/flying-ducks-on-the-wall kind of things, and do mobile unlocking on the side, or so I was told.

Look for Tony and tell him I sent you and he will look after you. Not sure how much he charges to be honest, but I'd say it would be cheaper AND quicker than buying the cables and credits etc and he knows what he's doing!! And it doesnt involve selling oriental decorations and stuff either

No. Unless you can get one from the network
They can be unlocked alright, but very tricky to unlock
