It'll be one of two things if it's not the message centre number.
1) Your SIM card is too old and incompatible with the phone. How long have you had it?

2) You're not provisioned correctly on the network. Contact Meteor and they should be able to sort it out for you. If they can't do it on their systems (because you're using a non-Meteor handset), they may be able to send you out the settings. If not (quite likely if it's a phone unique to 3), contact 3 and see what they can do. Don't be surprised if nobody can help you though, neither of the networks are obliged to guarantee you'll be able to use your SIM in a phone from another network.

Have you just tried two codes? After you try 5 wrong codes the phone will hard lock and you'll need to have it cable unlocked.

You can try this one at your own risk, hope it works for you ;

6680 is a BB5 platform phone, the only way to unlock it is to get a code from Vodafone Holland
