Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Okay, basically my hair is an absolute bastard. Unless I use gel like superglue, my hair at the front will end up stuck to my forehead, hair at the back will stick out like a peacock and everywhere else will basically look like an afro.

If I use a really strong gel like Fructis Ultra Strong Fibre-gum jelly then I can successfully make it stay good. However I'm fed up of the "greasy teenager" look for my hair. Anyone know of a similarly strong product that will also give a "dull/matte" appearance?

I think its called Dax Wax, brilliant stuff. Put a little between your fingers, warm it up and style :D .
Comes in a red tin, really does look like wax, if not used correctly your gonna be in an awfull mess :p .

Yep its Dax Wax alright, it wont give the shiny wet look. But I hate the stuff, like putting vaseline in your hair, then its a pain to wash off because its pastey oil like on your fingers and water doesn't do a good job of cleaning it off :D

Its great, cos it doesnt make your hair sticky or waxy.

EDIT: If that doesnt float your boat. Perhaps this?

One thing you gots to do to achieve the matte look is to allow your hair to dry fully before putting in any wax etc. This is something I only learned recently :o . Oh, and Grafton Barber do a nice wax. Its 10euro for a tin, but it lasts ages...one tin did me for close to a year and that was with almost daily usage. And it smells good :)

Redken 06, a tub would last me 8-9 months great stuff.
Get it in most salons, Boots never seemed to stock it.
