WAG354G + PS2 problem

    I bought one of the dinky new Linksys WAG354G modem/routers at the weekend, to replace my trusty WRT54G which died recently while I was on holiday.

    Works grand except for online gaming with my PS2-- identical settings to those I used on the WRT54G (PS2 is in the DMZ), but DNAS authentication takes 15-20mins to complete, by which time most games have long since timed out and assumed you have a bad connection. Same problem whether I connect it wirelessly or run a cable direct to the router.

    Anyone managed to get their PS2 working with one of these puppies? I realise the firmware is pretty new (v1.03) so I'm not surprised there's a few teething problems, had just kind of hoped to avoid such obvious regressions...

    There are some SMALL problems with this firmware you have.

    Ull have to register to download the firmware but some good fixes

    Thanks for the hint, but I'm already a member there and I don't see any WAG354G firmware there...? (Got the version number wrong btw... my firmware is 1.01.03, not 1.03...)

    Thats the exact dload page I think. Remember the version thats written there isnt nessicarily in line with linksys version (my spelling sucks)

    My other suggestion is goto linksys site and chat with someone online, they can be helpful, sometimes

    Hmm, thanks, but I still only see firmware for the 54G there, doesn't work on the 354G AFAIK. IIRC the online chat is only available from their US site, too, and the 354G is only available in Europe ATM, so probably not much help either :/ Guess I'll just have to wait until they get around to an upgrade, or the OpenWRT guys have finished their version for 354G (which should be real soon now).
