Hi, I'm Paul. I'll be doing a bit o' first year Business Information Systems B.Sc. I'm a nice guy, but not much to look at! I do like stuff though, stuff is great, does anyone else like stuff? It's amazing... Hope to meet a few of you filthy animals throughout the coming years and have various volumes of craic (in the name of education, of course).

I was up there checking out the apartment and just asked at the desk who else was living there :rolleyes: I guess we'll all find out what we're in for when we get there :P

Yup, first year in Gort here too

I had thought it would have been all first years in an apartment, didn't know they'd be mixing years.

Oh well, should still be good!
Would love to know who I'm living with now though =]

Living in Gort too! It seems there's never more than one first year per apartment :rolleyes: i'm with 2 americans and 2 mystery folk, most interesting

Can't wait to move up and meet everyone but the only thing im not happy about is that im living in Cuirt and ive heard some awful things about the security there

Whats everyone got against cuirt?
Been here a fortnight and its a hundred times better than corrib village last year.
Security in corrib was just ridiculous.

I guess it's probably up to what you want from your accommodation, if you're not in to 60 strangers coming into your crappy compact apartment and breaking all your stuff while the security does nothing about it then you still get fined a fortune, then I guess Corrib Village is not for you.

That's not to say Cuirt Na Coiribe aren't keen on their fines, but what I will say for it is that they are nice apartments in here, comfortable and all that, sound proofing has left a bit to be desired, but it's still nothing on Corrib in that regard either. I think the security are very good and efficient from what I've seen, and haven't been as strict as has been pointed out before by many, maybe it's just a change of policy for this year. You're still able to get a decent size get together if you wish and play music at a good level (albeit my housemates listen to crap, sadly) without being bothered. Call me boring but that's what I am looking for from where I'm living.
