Phone insurance?

Hey either my phone or my charger has gone bust, does anyone know if your phone insurance covers a charger breaking? I think its the charger because it was plugged in all night but it isnt warm as they usually are and the phone hasnt charged. If I go to the shop will they replace it or charge me for it?

Chargers should be covered under the warranty.
If you were to claim on your insurance, the excess on the claim would probably cost more than the charger would be to buy again.
