Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do you think we're likely to see this happening in the near future? With more production companies moving to digital filmmaking, the possibility will be there to make extra takes and scenes specifically for use on DVD versions.
So, imagine a film is made, with all sorts of extra material shot, then a theatrical version is released into cinemas (and possibly a director's cut, depending on the popularity of the original release). According to how well the cinema release performs, the DVD release could be brought further or pushed back, at which stage a first run of copies with DRM would come out. As it's only a matter of time before these are cracked and the market is flooded with copies, the production companies could at least make some cash by selling unprotected copies for a couple of dollars, almost like shareware. Anyone buying these copies would have the right to re-cut and reassemble the film in any way, even mixing bits from one film with another, but with some royalties going to the producers.

    Make any sense at all?
