Just wanted to let my friends in Ireland know that Lafayette, Louisiana is alright. We have power (obviously) and it looks like we're going to make it though Rita with only minor storm damage ... hope all of y'all are doing alright.

Great to hear some good news from the Gulf Coast folk_smith! lad all are safe and well.I saw the temporary levees in NO are breached, not such good news unfortunately.
